AC Milan have stepped up their pursuit of Lille defender Sven Botman and have even spoken with his entourage, according to a report.
Calciomercato.it reports that sporting director Ricky Massara knows Botman well and last week he spoke with the representatives of the Dutch centre-back to express great interest in signing him, albeit with a view to June. This was before Kjaer’s injury, so an attempt in January cannot be ruled out as the Dane will be out until the end of the season.
Milan have excellent relations with Lille which could favour a potential operation, while Renato Sanches is also a player that they admire. Botman currently earns no more than €650k net per season and his contract with Lille expires in 2025, and he could be taken into consideration as heir to Alessio Romagnoli too.
For his part Botman is open to the idea of moving to Serie A even though Manchester United and Liverpool are among those who have also got him on their radar.

I think yes this would be a good singing but we need a AM/RW so once a centre back then it should be romain faivre he is playing extremely well and if we don’t try to get him his price will go up as we should act soon as possible on singing faivre
if we get any one of: botman, bremer, milenkovic, christensen, Denayer, bazoer or badiashile in jan we’d have a great boost for a supposed scudetto run
