AC Milan seemed to be accelerating their pursuit of Sven Botman over the past few weeks and months but the matter may now be complicated.
According to a report from MilanNews, the Rossoneri management are determined to sign a centre-back this summer and Botman remains the name that is top of the list of the directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
The player himself actually confirmed his knowledge that Milan are interested in signing him, something he will have learned about after his agent’s visit to Casa Milan on 10 February.
“The intention is that to take a step forward. I hope the transfer is completed soon, preferably for preparation. Milan and Newcastle? They are interested, but I can’t and I don’t want more,” he said.
There has already been an agreement in place with the Dutchman over personal terms which has been there for some time and he would prefer a transfer to Milan, but the gap with Lille over transfer fee remains to be filed.
It can be bridged now that RedBird have taken over at Milan, but the option of Gleison Bremer remains as an alternative, even if there are many foreign clubs who want the Torino defender and possibly Inter, who are struggling to close a deal.
Give me Bremer.
Fits better with the high line Milan plays plus he is as aggressive as Tomori. Proven in the league, no need for period of adaptation.
Plus he is way cheaper than Botman according to DiMarzio

Botman is a good player when defenses stay with a low line (like Juve), but not when the line is set higher up the pitch.
Agressive as Tomori means two players out of position at the same time. If you ask me, continiue with Kalu and Tomo and sign Botman as he is rock solid, and a big talent
Why are we not re-signing Romagnoli to buy Botman…? They are similar, Botman has more potential but they have the same weaknesses and Alessio is proven to be solid and a reliable player here and we’d save a ton of money.
IMO if we’re not going to re-sign Romagnoli then we need to go for Bremer as he fits our current style much better and is more athletic. Plus he has something that Tomori and Kaluli don’t have… strength and aerial marking ability. Really he’s ideal and the perfect compliment. Plus he’s already proven in Serie A and may even get an Italian passport and play for Italy. I mean what more do you want?? The guy is tailor made for us at this point in time.
So overall, I’d rather get Bremer or just re-sign Alessio.

Agreed. Bremer is a better option and if we get him, Inter are screwed, they may sell Bastoni and will need a replacement.
Romagnoli. Makes sense for them. Is free and left footed. Then the Bastoni money funds the incoming transfers.
