GdS: Botman rejects Newcastle again and pushes Lille to accept Milan’s €30m bid

Sven Botman has once again rejected the advances of Newcastle United as he has his heart set on a move to AC Milan, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) makes the stance of the parties very clear. Both Milan and Newcastle strongly want Botman but they player only wants the Rossoneri, while Lille are instead pushing to make him accept the proposal of the Premier League club.

Milan’s offer of €30m seemed to be enough for Lille, but the emergence of Newcastle and other English clubs has changed their stance and now they are aiming to collect as much as possible from the sale of the Dutchman.

Botman does not hear about the interest of other teams and only wants the Rossoneri, so much so that he is scuppering the deal between Lille and Newcastle, who have given an ultimatum to the 22-year-old threatening to walk away from the deal.

The former Ajax man is digging his heels in and hopes that the Ligue 1 club will soon be convinced to let him go to Milan. Paolo Maldini is convinced that he can be the present and the future of the Rossoneri defence together with Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu, so now we see who cracks first.
