MN: Botman waits with terms agreed as Milan must make decisive phone call

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping that they will finally get a deal for Sven Botman over the line in the coming weeks ahead of the the 2022-23 season.

In recent days there has been suggesting of an imminent closure of the deal between Milan and Lille for Botman, but MilanNews reports that the negotiations between the parties are in fact ongoing and we are not yet at the stage where we can speak of a done deal.

The Rossoneri management and the player have long had an agreement in principle regarding the terms of his contract and Botman has given high priority to Milan, but there has not yet been a definitive phone call between the two clubs to try and find a final agreement.

It is a call that has not yet been made but soon it will be necessary for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to ring their counterparts at the Ligue 1 club, also to prevent other clubs from entering the race who could use momentum to close quickly.
