Brahim Diaz officially joined AC Milan last week on a dry loan deal from Real Madrid and today he was presented to the public in a press conference at the Milanello sports centre, where he addressed various interesting topics and also declared the Scudetto as his target with Milan.
After the official press conference which took place today afternoon, the 21-year-old attacker also gave an interview to Sky Sport (via milannews.it).
“Ibrahimovic? He has a powerful character and he is a great player. He helps the whole team thanks to his experience, thanks to everything he has achieved. He is great. We can say he is a Milan legend and I am sharing the locker room with him. This experience will be very useful,” he said.
The former Manchester City man went on to speak about Milan’s technical director Paolo Maldini and how he has transformed from being a world-class defender to also being a world-class director for the club.
“Maldini is a phenomenon. He was a phenomenon on the pitch and today he is proving that he is also a phenomenon off the pitch. He is a legend of this club, he is a legend of world football,” Diaz added.
Finally, Diaz once again reiterated that the Rossoneri must aim high and set big objectives for the upcoming campaign.
“Milan are a great club and must think like a great club. They must always aim at the maximum. Win titles. Obviously, we need to qualify for the Champions League, but the goal remains to win,” he concluded.
Diaz has been training at Milanello for some time and is slowly getting to know the Rossoneri environment, having already featured in two friendly matches for the club against Monza and Vicenza. In the latter match, the Spaniard scored his first goal for the club and added an assist.
