Brahim Diaz thanks fans for ‘incredible’ support and declares: “I can score even more”

AC Milan were saved by Brahim Diaz this afternoon as the Spaniard came off the bench against Spezia and scored the winner just four minutes later. His good form continues, therefore, and the Rossoneri couldn’t be happier.

Stefano Pioli’s men are now at 16 points from the first six games and that is indeed a good start to the season. Diaz added to his point tally which now stands at four goals and one assist, showing why Milan entrusted him with the No.10.

In an interview with DAZN after the game, as cited by MilanNews, the Real Madrid loanee shared his thoughts on the game, his form and Tonali. He also sent a message to the Curva Sud regarding the chant they have made for him.

On the match…

“It’s always a complicated game here because they play well in their stadium. We fought and played well with the ball. I’m very happy for everyone.”

On his current form…

“I feel good and I have faith in myself and in the whole team, this is important. The important thing is to do everything for the team. I can score even more goals.”

On his growth and that of Tonali…

“We are talented players but the whole team has quality and talent. I’m not talking specifically but we are strong.”

On the number 10 shirt and the dedicated chant…

“I like to take responsibility. I learned the chorus because it belongs to a legend like Kakà. The support from the fans is incredible.”

It was a very necessary confidence boost for Milan as they will face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. Then, next Sunday, they will take on Atalanta away from home.
