Ariedo Braida has expressed profound sadness regarding the current state of AC Milan, as well as concern regarding the management.
Braida wrote legendary pages in the history of Milan alongside Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani, holding the positions of general manager and sporting director in the glorious cycle that ran from 1986 to 2013.

Working in perfect symbiosis alongside Galliani, Braida was one of the main architects of the ‘Invincibles’ under Fabio Capello, distinguishing himself on the international football scene as one of the greatest talent scouts in the world.
The former executive spoke on stage at the third edition of the Serie A Festival in Parma to comment on the rough current moment that the club are experiencing. MilanVibes relayed his comments.
How do you feel about Milan’s present moment?
“I’m in love with Milan and it’s in my heart. Now I’ll tell you the truth: I almost want to cry seeing Milan in this situation. There’s an identity crisis – we need to rebuild our history.
“History is important: without it, there’s no future, so I hope those responsible for starting over from this point have a smooth path. The road is long, but I think Milan has an important past that can’t be erased, and so I hope they will continue their future in this way, just as they have in the past.”
What aspect of Milan today causes you the most pain?
“When things aren’t going well, sporting results are clearly important. There’s a real identity crisis where I don’t see what needs to be seen, which has always been the case for Milan, where there were important reference points, namely Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani. Therefore, something is missing that must give AC Milan the impetus to get back on track.”
What did you think of Leao’s statements, where he expressed his desire to try a new adventure away from Milan?
“I don’t want to take over from those who have the responsibilities. I don’t like that. I try to do what I know how to do. Leao has some very important qualities, it’s clear that if you don’t transmit them on the pitch, everything is in vain.
“I’m between a rock and a hard place. High-quality players are hard to come by these days. He has great qualities, but sometimes they’re not enough.”
And what are your thoughts on what Gerry Cardinale said, who ruled out Paolo Maldini’s return, calling him a ‘one-man show’ profile?
“Maldini, starting with his father, has written Milan’s history. Both have won all of Milan’s Champions League titles, so we can’t help but start with history.”
What is your opinion on the current role of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, an atypical figure who moves between the pitch and the desk talking to the team?
“Ibrahimovic is beyond question as a player. He was a great champion, and in football terms, hats off to him. However, he too must have the humility to learn sometimes.”
Braida is a Milan great and when he talks people should listen especially Mr Cardi.

Maldini was the answer for Milan and Furlani and Co. were the cancer.
My question to Mr Cardi is how a team from winning the Scudetto one season find themselves in the current situation under his hence men and guidance?

You’re the 2nd person who mentioned this thing of Moncada only signing black players.
Where does this come from? Do we really have to make a list that shows all the players signed since Moncada arrived and make a total for all the ‘non black’ players vs ‘black’ players signed… really?
Are you sure you don’t support Lazio maybe?
The fact that you’re even making that point kinda implies that the reason we’re in this mess as a club is because of the ‘black’ players that were signed.
Really? When we won the Scudetto, did you come here and say, Maignan, Kalulu, Tomori, Kessie, Bennacer, Leao, are all good black players? Or did you simply congratulate and say all the players did well that season? You saw them as players first then… now they’re black players that aren’t good enough for Milan? Pathetic logic… I think the Lazio ultras might have space for you.

Things went downhill when he left.
The club literally didn’t qualify for the champions league until Maldini arrived.
All we fans can hope for is 1 of 2 things; 1. Red Bird can’t find the $ they need and they somehow lose control of the club and organization or 2. They find a buyer, sell at a profit and turn the club over to someone who gives a damn.
Otherwise it’ll be the same B.S. as the past 2 years, over and over and over.
