The sporting director of Brest has admitted that Romain Faivre could leave the club in January amid persistent links with a move to AC Milan.

Faivre has previously made no secret about his desire to join Milan once the transfer window reopens after the failed pursuit during the summer, as he gave an interview recently stating that he is still charmed by Paolo Maldini’s phone call. He also dropped a strong hint that he is gearing up for the move, even claiming he has spoken to former Monaco team-mate Fode Ballo-Toure about the club.
New statements from Faivre arrived earlier in the month as the young French attacking midfielder continued to wink at Milan, even naming the price of his own potential future transfer.
Grégory Lorenzi spoke to Ouest France about Faivre’s future and admitted that while the club want to keep him if they possibly can, they would consider selling if an offer came in that they cannot refuse.
“The club’s will is that he stays until the end of the season and it is also Romain’s will. He’s fine here, he wants to finish the season here and it’s everyone’s interest. But if he gets an offer that the club can’t refuse, there will be a lot of thinking about it,” he said (via MilanNews).
“If he’s good here, it will help us and allow him to aim higher. Interest is common. We are not against each other. Yes, the player can grow faster than the club, but we do things together. He is an observed boy, who is liked by many clubs.”
