Irritation is growing inside the walls of Casa Milan as Club Brugge still have not responded to the offer for Ardon Jashari.

It was reported by Sky and other sources that there should be a response from Club Brugge to the Rossoneri’s latest offer for Jashari, one totalling €38m, by Tuesday at the latest. However, it is clear from the lack of news that this response has not been forthcoming.

Milan becoming irritated

According to the latest from Matteo Moretto on his YouTube channel, there has been ‘no progress’ on the Jashari front. Milan were expecting a response from Club Brugge early this week, but nothing has arrived yet.

“The news on Jashari is that there’s no news. It’s paradoxical, but the fact that Club Brugge isn’t giving a response to Milan, who were expecting a yes or no between Monday and Tuesday, is creating tension and nervousness within the Milan world, within the Milan management,” he said.

“Club Brugge are stalling, and this is worrying Milan, who were expecting a response to their last written offer of €32.5m plus bonuses. But Club Brugge are asking for a fixed base of €35m plus bonuses to reach €40m.

“Milan have initiated a strategy, taking full advantage of Jashari’s desire, as he has communicated to Club Brugge his desire to join Milan. But you know that Club Brugge is a very difficult club to negotiate with, a very difficult club.

“We’ll see if this type of strategy actually pays off, but for now, Club Brugge’s dead silence is creating great tension and nervousness within the Milan world.”

Now, we must see just how long the Rossoneri directors are willing to wait before moving onto the next target, given that signing another quality midfielder seems to be a priority.

Fabrizio Romano adds: “Club Brugge are still not giving green light to AC Milan final €38m package bid for Ardon Jashari. AC Milan have been waiting for 10 days with the situation becoming tense. Brugge insist other clubs could still match €40m fixed asking price.”

  1. Unprofessional. Give a yes or no. It’s better for everyone in the end. If this gets concluded, don’t think we should ever do business with them again.

    1. Why is it unprofessional by Brugge??? They told us what his price is and we don’t want to meet it. It’s very simple. The answer right now is STILL no it would seem. Our offer falls short of their valuation. We do this all the time. Same old story. We think we can always get them cheaper – should have learnt lesson w CDK. Brugge won’t back down and they KNOW we desperately want him. We are terrible negotiators.

If they told us the price and we keep bidding lower they don’t have any obligation to keep saying no. They seemly don’t have to sell AND he’s not under and expiring deal – he has term on his contract. So unless The player refuses to train/play and sits out – hard to force Brugges hand. And more time goes by…..

      1. If the answer is still a no, then give it to Milan officially. They could call Milan disrespectful and cheap if they wish. But a definitive answer is required when a formal offer is made, be it a yes or a no. They are unprofessional for this reason. We might be cheap but we have been professional. They will never be able to make themselves look any better out of this.

        1. Milan negotiates with Bruges’ players without any consent from the club, then they come with a low offer despite Bruges’ valuation of their own players. Bruges knows that Milan has money from Reijnders, Théo, etc. Their president said that Maldini was a gentleman and they did find an agreement. But Jashari and De Cuyper… Despite Furlani’s bright smile, we can imagine what kind of human being he is. Not the one you want to do business with. I guess Bruges will be relieved if Milan decides to stop doing business with them.

          1. Bang on there. If Brugges had a problem or bitterness to Milan they could have them brought up on breach of Fifa regulations for tapping up and Milan get a transfer ban.
Simply a team wants to buy a player that another team doesn’t want to sell. Tbh it’s a bit pathetic of Milan to risk this going to the last week of the transfer window, Jashari completely miss out on pre season and the first 3 games all for the sake of 2m…just give them the money!

          2. That’s why cuyper go to Brighton for only 20m. Anyway 40m for jashari it’s too much. Maybe from that mount, Milan can pay 2 local hero from Seri A.

  2. If the deal collapse, im hoping that Jashari will stay in brugge, and leave for free to any club after his contract expire. That will be really satisfying

    1. 4 years left still I don’t think he wants to stay there to make a petty retaliation. They do seem to be a£seholes to deal with though or could just be with us. After all Brighton had no issue signing decuyper for the figures that were being quoted

  3. If it is just 2m euro , just pay that and let it done. Dont repeat calafiori case , only few million difference but choose ballo toure instead calafiori

    1. I’m just wanting to say exactly this…
If your story about Calafiori is true, it means our management is not that good…

  4. If we’re willing to spend $40 million on a midfielder, why not go for Ederson from Atalanta? In my opinion, he’s been the best defensive midfielder in Serie A over the past three seasons.

    1. If we can get him for 40m that’s a good deal but I doubt Atalanta will be that generous to a rival

  5. 40mil is just too much for guy like him. Not proven in top leagues, plus he is a defensive midfielder – players like this are just not worth as much as strikers/wingers.

Milan paid for Tonali 25mil – young Italian, with already great season in Italian league.
Fofana costed also around 25mil in total – proven experience in Ligue1, member of French national team.

It’s really hard to back up theory that Jashari is worth 40mil.

  6. 38 million???
I thought we offered 32.5+2.5 million.

Respectfully speaking, there is no player in Jupiler league who is worth even 38 million.

After Saladmaker, CDK and Origi, I am very suspicious about Belgium league players and Belgian players to Serie A.

It is time to walkaway from this negotiation and potentially future negotiations with Brugge.

    There are dozens of players.

We got Ricci, Fofana, Benny for DM role. If one more really needed, just get Xhaka and spend remaining of that “40 million” to sign LB or RB.

    1. Yep ACM offer 32,5m euro basic fee + add on 5,5m euro . Total 38m euro. Better to raise that offer to 35m euro basic fee but make it final offer, if they wanna make bidding war with waiting EPL club then skip

  7. Since we’ve already offered 32.5M fixed plus bonuses to 38M, we should up the offer to 35M fixed and 3M in moderately difficult bonuses. That ought to shift them.

  8. Tell them f..k off. We dont need him.I will gave them 25m if not want look at another. He is not special player at all,for that money wr can bring better player,or his manager have some deal with our managment 😂😂

  9. I’ve never ceased to be amazed – and always in the worst possible way – by some of the so-called ‘fans’ here. The -depressing – news now is seeing how some of them are defending Bruges against our side. Come on, this isn’t a fvcking court of law! Anyway, whether Milan is ‘right’ or ‘wrong,’ I will NEVER take a stand against my beloved club, PERIOD.

  10. Hmm, it’s not like we are low-balling them…38M E potentially is a respectable offer when the asking price was 40 M. So they should give us a respectful reply.
We even threw loads of money at them for CDK who failed miserably so have a bit of common sense and do not haggle for 2 M…38 M is still a lot for someone who might end as CDK. They probably bought Jashari for 5-10 M so are certainly gaining a lot of money

  11. Like I said in the previous thread, if they don’t accept our last offer, just leave. The player will be left so discontent and more or less likely affecting his performance on the field. We can come again next winter or even summer. 38 mil seems too excessive anyway.

    1. Yeah, we have plenty of Midfielders.
Modric, Ricci, Fofana, RLC, Bondo, Musah, Adli, Pobega, Liberali. With the Liberali the exeception, they are all more proven than him in our league. We don’t need him.

Theo should be replaced with a Nuno Tavares or Udogi. That is where our money should go if our budget is limited. A good RB as well. Have Salad as a back up for this year.

We had Jovic who could score on a cheap deal and let him go. They are intent on spending big money on gambles.

I don’t see a player worth 5 million a year ago in a weak league worth that substantial of a fee. I wouldn’t pay 30 to 40 million for Serie B’s best midfielder, that would be ludacris.

  12. At this moment, in the midfield Milan has: Ricci, Fofana, Modric (confirmed by Max), Loftus-Cheek, Bondo, Musah, Pobega, Bennacer, Adli.

That’s 9 (!) players for max 3 positions. I dont really see teams queuing up for any of these guys, and I really don’t see why they are pushing so much for Jashari. At the same time there is hardly any good fullback in the team, and one striker that doesn’t fit in the new system.

    1. That’s what I’ve been saying as well. Even if we count Isma, Adli, and Musah out, we still have plenty of mids. And with only 1 competition worth winning.

The management really seeing something in this kid. And at least they do what they talk about. When discussing about how they’ll build this Milan starting with the midfield.

    2. I’d keep Bennacer and give him a look before spending on this much on the player. This is illogical.

  13. With the English Pemier league teams lurking, Brugge couldn’t give a damn. They don’t have to sell, and if we step aside, Coventry City will snap him up for 42mil. Sadly the English are pricing us out of the market. And we should learn to do the same. The problem is that everybody is drumming up one season wonder players so much so that clubs are fighting for the next ‘sensation’. Scounting levels have dropped and we effectively find ourselves competing with a Brighton or Leipzig for players when it used to be Real, Barca, Liverpool, Juve, Man U we needed to worry about. The A list competitors have been wiped out…playing field is level, everybody is fair game these days.

  14. Id just give them what they want and we can move onto wingback positions. Is it 2 million difference?

  15. we got a bunch already. why do we need to push this deal so much? if they don’t respond to the ultimatum, then take it as a ‘no’ and move on to the next target on the list. there’s full back need to be replaced and striker need some tandem/backup. two positions urgently needed. those money milan had should be spend wisely.

  16. If they don’t want to sell its up to them. At least they know how to make clubs overpay on their players by playing hardball or making it look so anyway (I wished we do this to some of our players we want to sell). Just looking at his stats on Fbref I dont see anything outstanding and YouTube highlights can only go so far – the moves he’s making are against much slower, poorer defending, so I don’t understand what ppl are seeing. I dont understand the price either …35m for a player in the Belgian league…the BELGIAN LEAGUE. have we not learnt our lesson??
We need better scouting, one which can pick out players before they reach these crazy valuations. Should have been Moncada but he’s been a huge disappointment

  17. Even if they get 40m, the request will rise to 50m immediately. Because why shouldn’t it. For BPL teams, a low ranked team, in the bottom 7, can easily afford that amount.

  18. A lot will depend on Inter. Club Bruges wants Stankovic as replacement for Jashari.

Also Club Bruges is a finacially healthy Club, they don’t need to sell.
