Cagliari vs. AC Milan: Official line-ups – Pioli changes the formation

It was expected, but now it’s official: Stefano Pioli has decided to change the formation of AC Milan, ditching the 4-3-3 for a 4-4-2. In other words, the fans will get to see the Ibrahimovic-Leao in attack.

Following the 0-0 draw against Sampdoria, which certainly highlighted the Rossoneri’s main issues, the manager has been forced to make a change. Certainly, the 4-3-3 evidently wasn’t working as expected, so hopefully this will help.

Castillejo replaces Suso on the right flank, which is understandable given the latter’s performance last time out. There is also be another change in midfield, as Kessie is back in the starting eleven, sending Krunic back to the bench.

As mentioned, the Ibrahimovic-Leao duo has been chosen for this game. Against Sampdoria, they both came on at the same time and got a total of 35 minutes, linking up well throughout that period. Therefore, it will be interesting to see them again.
