Torino president responds to Pobega and Bremer-Milan speculation: “We will see”

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino president Urbano Cairo refused to be drawn on the speculation surrounding AC Milan and two players currently with the Granata.

The names of Gleison Bremer and Tommaso Pobega have been repeatedly mentioned in the newspaper over the past few weeks given that Milan are big admirers of the Brazilian defender as per multiple sources and their need to strengthen the backline has intensified after Simon Kjaer’s injury, while Pobega continues to shine on loan.

Cairo spoke to reporters on the sidelines of the presentation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new book ‘Adrenalina’ and was specifically asked about the rumours surrounding Bremer and Pobega.

“The transfer market is very far away. We will see later, we have not talked to Milan or anyone. For now, we are not thinking of selling Bremer. Pobega is on loan to us, he is a strong player who is doing very good things. We will talk about it at the right time, this is definitely not the time to talk about it,” he said (via MilanLive).

Calciomercato.com recently reported that the Rossoneri don’t want to include Pobega in a swap deal for Bremer. The Brazilian centre-back has a price tag of €25m and Milan consider that excessive, but they still have no plans of including Pobega to lower it.
