Calabria: Milan made ‘several errors’ and ‘had to be more clinical’ vs. Dortmund

Davide Calabria seemed frustrated in his post-match interview after AC Milan drew 0-0 against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stages.

Both sides had big chances in both halves to win the game, with Olivier Giroud perhaps having Milan’s best opportunity in the first half and then Samuel Chukwueze had a couple of opportunities in the second, but composure was lacking.

It is another point and another clean sheet for the Rossoneri, who now sit third in the group with two points, two behind leaders Newcastle United and one behind PSG who they play away and home in the next two games.

Calabria spoke to Prime Video after the full-time whistle to give his assessment after what was a game both sides will feel they could have won given the chances that fell their way.

“It’s always complicated to talk in the heat of the moment: I want to cool things down and then analyse,” he began (via MilanNews).

“There were several errors and we had to be more clinical with the opportunities we had, at this level you can’t make mistakes. We played our game against a strong team in a stadium where they haven’t lost for two years. One of the most difficult groups in the history of the Champions League.”
