AC Milan captain Davide Calabria urged fans not to get too carried away with the Champions League derby to come, and rather to focus on the games prior to that.
Milan beat Napoli and Inter got past Benfica in their respective quarter-finals to set up the first derby in the final four of the competition since the 2002-03 season, when the Rossoneri triumphed on away goals.
Speaking during the inauguration of a multi-purpose sports centre in Grattosoglio, Calabria was asked about the upcoming two legs against Inter, with his comments relayed by SempreMilan.it.
“Euroderby? There’s still a little to go, we’re focused on the next match, that is the match against Roma,” he said.
He added a message to the children present: “I greet you all, I grew up not far from here. Always have manners and respect for your team-mates and opponents.”
