Images suggest Calabria could have had a penalty during Milan-Juventus – photos

By Oliver Fisher -

Evidence suggests Juventus might have got away with one at San Siro as Alex Sandro appeared to foul Davide Calabria inside the penalty area.

There was an early half shout for a penalty when Calabria latched onto a ball inside the Juve box and went down under a challenge from Alex Sandro and he seemed to have a real shout for a spot kick, yet the incident was never properly reviewed. The photos seem to show contact.

  1. It actually was a penalty as it wasn’t shoulder to shoulder. I’m ok with it not being called because he did go down easily, and the game is getting so so weak with all the diving and playacting and the players acting like they’ve been truly accosted everytime they bump into one another. That said, the refs won’t change and they’ll keep buying the playacting and open mouth screams for minor contact so in this current very weak day and age yes it was a penalty and technically should have been given. But hey we’re Milan and our entire season would be different if refs didn’t screw us left and right.

  2. Yes, let’s blame the ref instead of accepting the reality. We could have played 900 minutes and still we wouldn’t be able to score a goal from open play.
And one chace we had from a free kick, instead of letting Tonaly or Theo take it, we let Giroud do it, like it was already 5:0 and we had 3 points in the bag. I mean of all the people we let a person that only scores with his head kick the f*cking ball. Ibra hopping on one good leg would have done a better job ffs!

    1. The game is FOOTball not HEADball, yes headers are great and productive with corner kicks, we need to drive the center of the pitch and KICK the ball, Theo, Saelae., and Calabria get it….

    2. I hope the young guy they bought can put that French fuck on bench
That idiot goes do kick free kick
      Pioli is so fucking week

  3. Yeah, we lost on this one but won on the one against Morata. Both were pretty soft but I have seen them being given.

So ref was consistent which is all I can ask.

  4. And Morata should have been awarded a penalty as well, Brahim Diaz deserved a yellow and so on. I am Juve fan but be honest. Yesterday was just a bad game. Juve didn’t even manage to hit the target and Milan didn’t do much better either. Referee was bad in my opinion and missed yellows on both sides. 0:0 is fair but won’t really help either.
