TMW: Caldara to leave Venezia once the season ends as Serie A side show interest

By Oliver Fisher -

Venezia do not currently seem inclined to exercise their option to buy Mattia Caldara permanently from AC Milan, according to a report.

TMW write that Caldara has shown himself to be an important leader for Venezia in their return to Serie A, showing his experience in the top flight, but they are in a desperate fight against relegation that will obviously influence their market choices.

As things stand, Caldara will return to the Rossoneri in the summer. He currently has 22 games, 1 goal and 1 assist to his name and the belief is that has fully demonstrated that he can play a leading role in the top flight.

For this reason, there is no shortage of suitors for the 27-year-old and Torino are among the sides considering a move, especially given the possible departure of Bremer (who is wanted by Milan and Inter).

The Granata tried to get him last summer and will return to the negotiating table for Caldara after the expressions of interest already put forward in recent weeks.

  1. Don’t Loan him anymore. Just sell him ,Loan with option only wasting time. Caldara already 2 years on Loan from Atalanta and Venezia, both club don’t want to activate option buy

  2. I’d rather get Bremer and send Krunić and Caldara to cover around half of the fee. They have been interested in Krunić for a long time.
