As the eight round of Serie A was concluded yesterday, WhoScored have now revealed the team of the week, which includes one AC Milan player; Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Turkish midfielder had a great game against Lecce on Sunday evening, although it wasn’t enough to secure the three points for his team. The away side equalised deep into injury time, as the Milan defence fell asleep for a brief moment.
Despite the result, it was certainly a turning point for Calhanoglu, who has received a lot of criticism as of late. With a goal and an assist, he certainly sent a strong signal to the Rossoneri fans.
As a result of this, he earned himself a spot in WhoScored’s team of the week, registering a rating of 9.5/10. Hopefully, he can continue his good form this weekend as Milan take on Roma away from home, in desperate need of three points.
