MN: Calvelli and Cocirio present for agreement signing with AIMC – the statement released

Both Massimo Calvelli and Stefano Cocirio were present for the signing of a new agreement between AC Milan and the AIMC last night.

In recent years, there has been a bit of difficulty between Milan and the fans. Now, the relationship has remained strong, but cracks have shown with frustrations about how the club has been run and the priorities.

Indeed, many have been annoyed by the constant profits, whilst the Rossoneri have not succeeded on the pitch. Hence, it has been a bit of a rock and a hard place situation.

Now, though, the priorities are clear: Gerry Cardinale wants to return the Diavolo to the top of Italy and his investments this summer have already proven this with €100 million (almost, waiting on Mario Gila) spent.

The AIMC statement

Last night, then, the club renewed its relationship with the AIMC and Calvelli and Cocirio were there to represent Milan, as MilanNews writes. After the meeting, a statement was released by the organisation, which can be read below.

“AC Milan and the Italian Milan Club Association (AIMC) today signed a renewed agreement that consolidates the collaborative relationship between the Club and AIMC, enriching it with new areas of discussion and shared initiatives aimed at strengthening dialogue with the AC Milan Club community, promoting healthy, ethical, responsible, and inclusive fan behavior, and developing projects that are increasingly relevant to fans of all ages.

“The agreement recognizes the fundamental role played by AIMC, as the only official association of AC Milan Clubs, in spreading the Club’s values, promoting a sense of belonging to the Rossoneri colors, and supporting the team, in full compliance with the principles of sportsmanship, fairness, inclusion, and the firm rejection of all forms of violence, discrimination, and racism.

“The agreement establishes a framework for stable collaboration aimed at implementing projects of mutual interest, developing joint activities, and promoting fan engagement initiatives.

“This offers the approximately 70,000 members of over 650 affiliated AC Milan Clubs the opportunity to enjoy increasingly engaging experiences, both on matchday and through all the activities that characterize the Rossoneri world.

“The agreement also promotes the organization of events dedicated to supporters and the development of projects that strengthen the bond between the Club and its fans, including through recreational and sporting activities and initiatives aimed at younger generations.

“A key element of the agreement is the establishment of a Joint Committee, composed of representatives from AC Milan and AIMC, which will serve as the steering committee for collaboration between the Club and the Milan Club community.

“The Committee will be responsible for fostering ongoing dialogue, coordinating shared activities, developing new projects, and identifying further opportunities for collaboration, to further strengthen the relationship between AC Milan and its Milan Club community in Italy and around the world.

“With the renewal of the agreement, AC Milan reaffirms AIMC’s role as the primary institutional partner for the Milan Club community and confirms its commitment to developing an increasingly structured collaboration model, fostering new opportunities for participation, discussion, and sharing with fans in Italy and around the world.

“AIMC, for its part, renews its commitment to promoting healthy, ethical, responsible, and inclusive fan behaviour, capable of engaging fans of all ages and instilling the values of sport, respect, and belonging to new generations, proudly representing the Rossoneri colours inside and outside the stadium.

“The agreement represents a significant milestone in the growth of the Rossoneri family, in the knowledge that the passion of fans, combined with collaboration among all members of the Club, is one of the most valuable elements in building and strengthening the future of AC Milan.

“The agreement represents a further step in the collaboration between AC Milan and AIMC, with the aim of strengthening the dialogue with the Milan Club community and developing new initiatives, tools, and ways to engage fans over time, in line with the evolution of the Club and the needs of its community, in Italy and around the world.

“With this agreement, AC Milan recognises Milan Clubs and AIMC not only as the primary institutional partner of the Milan Club community, but as an essential component of its identity and history.

“This human, sporting, and value-driven legacy will continue to accompany the Club on its growth path, strengthening the sense of belonging and helping to transmit, today and to future generations, the values and passion that have always distinguished the Rossoneri world.”
