Board member Massimo Calvelli is expected to gain influence within AC Milan’s hierarchy, according to a report.
Milan are preparing for the final and decisive stage of their Champions League quest. At San Siro, against Cagliari, the Rossoneri will have the chance to secure a top four spot with a win. A draw could be enough, but they would be leaving things in the hands of other results.

When the run-in seemed to have produced an inescapable collapse, Milan recovered with a crucial victory against Genoa. Now, however, they need the final step, the one that could transform a difficult season into one that ends with the minimum objective achieved.
A big milestone
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) report, Milan will face a Cagliari side that are already safe and under no pressure to get a result, but they shouldn’t be underestimated. The Diavolo will have to approach the match with clarity and focus, aware of the impact those ninety minutes will have on the club’s future.
The Champions League represents a crucial milestone in every respect: financially, technically and in terms of image. For Milan, the match against Cagliari is worth much more than just the final matchday of the season.
Meanwhile, discussions about potential managerial changes continues, with Calvelli’s name being a key focus. He was present in London alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic at last week’s meeting to redefine the internal hierarchy, and was at Gerry Cardinale’s side during the win over Genoa.
A few weeks ago, he also joined the board of directors of the company that will be responsible for the construction of the new stadium. Very soon, he will also have his say in matters concerning the team.
It is perhaps not the case that he will take on the CEO role (for which Adriano Galliani could sensationally return, even in cohabitation with Furlani), but it seems as though he is increasingly ‘Cardinale’s right-hand man’.

“Right-hand” man? What is ibrahimovic then?
What about furlani? How many right hands does cardinale have? Is he some kind of a mutant? 😀
Another cookie-cutter story …
No one really knows anything at this point, yet everyone is speculating and every thought is a new article…
Gds and Cds you’d think Milan are setting themselves up to have 3 CEOs and 2 SDs next season
