Francesco Camarda is currently on loan at Lecce, but it seems AC Milan could recall him this month, with reports suggesting talks are underway.
In the summer, Camarda left Milan to seek space to grow. There was not deemed enough room for him to develop amongst the first team, so a Serie A loan was secured, with the hope of him getting regular minutes, and hopefully goals.

Despite scoring only once in seventeen games, there have been some positives to the move, considering how young he still is. Now, he could already be recalled.
Camarda’s clouded future
In the past few days, it was reported that he has suffered a ‘serious’ shoulder problem. So, evaluations were set to take place.
This afternoon, MilanNews have reported that those discussions are still ongoing, but it is possible that an agreement could be reached for him to return to Milanello whilst he recovers. In fact, the sticking point is the summer agreement, and how that should be solved, it seems.
Nicolo Schira takes things one step further, stating that he ‘will return’ to the club in the next few days as a reinforcement for the frontline in the last few months of the season.
Whether anything is decided yet remains a little unknown, as does the severity of his shoulder situation.
This would be the best news of the mercato. Bring our boy home.

He will need one player to get injured to even be considered as a sub, and another player to get injured to have a chance for getting more than 10 minutes in a match.
I know he has potential to be great, but now he is not even close to the level of our other strikers. He would just rot in Milan. When you need results, the best option is to delegate someone else to develop him. In Milan there is no space for him.
Allegri has shown that he will change formations and pit on different profiles depending on where we are in the game. We need bodies to hold up the ball and provide an aerial threat and right now we only have Fullkrug in that role.

Sending young strikers to clubs that play on the back foot is dense. Camarda is rotting at Lecce. Bring him home, play him, watch what happens.

That’s why he should have been in Serie B. I’ve been saying this each and every time. He’s not going to play over Leao, Pulisic, Nkunku, Gimenez (yes I know he’s injured) and Fullkrug, when this club HAS TO qualify for the CL this season, and we’re not assured of a top four finish by a long shot. Camarda needs to be starting full time and somewhere where there’s no pressure.
The thing is though, If he’d scored 10 goals for Monza so far this season (as an example), and this article came out, people would still be saying he’s not ready. So when is he ready?
I’m not saying he should start. If we bring him back – he needs to stay 100% with the first team, and get 10-15 mins every other game. Then we won’t need to loan him out next season and THEN we can assess whether he’s a Milan player or not.
Brother, puli(half injured) ,leao (half injured) , Nkunku barely now started to play, fulkrug played 2 matches and he already injured.. So .
How can a 17yo kid that scored 1 goal in 17 matches and only started 7 games out of those 17 be the solution for our struggling to score goals? Managment is burying themselfs deeper and deeper each day
Because Lecce are terrible. Have you watched any of their games to see how they “help” and “develop” Camarda? They keep him completely isolated and almost never feed him the ball. Maybe their players are jealous of him and don’t want to pass the ball to someone they see as an outsider.
Camarda has looked ten times more dangerous in the minutes he played (rarely) for Milan’s first team than with Futuro and Lecce. That’s because if your companions are of higher quality and are willing to pass the ball to you, you play better.
This all depends on whether or not Allegri would be willing to regularly give Camarda minutes. He did bet on Bartesaghi; If he does (and maybe he does, if this effort to bring him back has been met with Allegris’s approval) I think that maybe Camarda will develop better and be more helpful and more dangerous than if he remains another 5 months with the horrible Lecce.
right but also look at the other side. what’s best, getting minutes in a terrible offense or not getting minutes at all. Ironically Allegri has a TON of options if they are all healthy. Puli, Leao, Fulkrug, Nkunku, Santi and Camarda. Realistically, his chances are very slim. On the other hand, playing in such a defensive team might hurt the little confidence he has. I’m inclined to say “hey, we’ve never had all forwards healthy all year…. bring the kid back, he may actually play a litle”

Here is your problem statement. Allegri has given minutes to Bartesaghi because Estupinan has been awful. Did you watch the first couple of games of the season? Estupinan was the starter. He was bad, then got hurt, and then Bartesaghi took over. Allegri didn’t just “decide” to give Bartesaghi a chance, he was forced into it and then Bartesaghi did well to take it in combination with Estupinan being bad. If Estupinan had been great, I’d be willing to bet you a good amount of money they’d he’d have returned to the starting lineup. Additionally, Bartesaghi has been around the first team a lot longer than Camarda. Thirdly, defending is simpler than being a striker on a technical level. This is why good strikers are regularly worth over 80M euros, and why only the top two or three leftbacks on the planet might be. Then, why would he “take a chance” on kid Camarda when he’s got Leao, Pulisic, Nkunku, Gimenez (yes I know he’s injured) and Fullkrug, all highly paid, highly paid for, experienced strikers at his disposal? We have young and “promising” Jashari and Ricci on the bench with misfiring Fofana and mediocre RLC ahead of them. That is Allegri.
I know it’s sexy to dream of some 18 prodigy coming up through the ranks and scoring 30 goals per season for us and winning the ballon d’or, or whatever, but this isn’t a Disney movie and it’s not going to happen this way with Camarda. He belongs in Serie B, STARTING FULL TIME in a low pressure situation. See Pio Esposito as an example of things done right.
I sound harsh, but I want to stop this trend of 18 year olds being hyped up and then thrown in at the deep end when they’re not ready to swim. I’ve seen so many promising players rushed into the first team with a lot of hype only to seem them falter and disappear into mediocrity. Paloschi, Cutrone, Colombo, are just a few examples in the last 15 years. This has to stop.

I’m just gonna say it… I know he’s very young but I don’t see it. I could be blind deaf and dumb, but I’ve jumped on the band wagon for Camarda because of everyone else’s enthusiasm. I’ve watched him at Lecce … I’ve watched the very few senior games he’s played for Milan…. again he’s young but I haven’t seen anything to warrant bringing him back right now. That’s my opinion.
Have you seen him on the U-21 team? He definitely has skill, he needs experience and perspective.

Thank you. I’ve watched two games in which he played. Admittedly a small sample. But he did not seem to be a player ready to compete on a team aiming for a top four finish.
Bringing him back is one thing, having Allegri actually play him is quite another. Though tbf he did play Barts because he had no choice. And currently… We really don’t have many options up front 🤔
Fans talking about Camarda coming back early to Milan to play when he is actually coming back early because he would miss most of the what’s left of this season because of his injury and Lecce has no use for an injured Camarda
‘Serious’ could mean 4 weeks for a shoulder. Lecce have mismanaged him anyway, so four weeks out then another four weeks training at poor facilities before they give him another chance and before you know it it’s mid March – he might as well be back at basecamp, training with Leao, Pulisic, Modric, and getting 10-15 mins when needed.
It cannot be any worse for him at Milan. He is not doing well at Lecce anyways.
