AC Milan will have to take the next step in their project under Massimiliano Allegri in the summer, with some details on targets and budget emerging.

Il Giorno have run a piece with the following headline: “A great AC Milan is emerging. From Gila to the dream of Lewandowski. All the reinforcements Allegri would appreciate.” With a Champions League spot close to being secured, the planning is underway for 2026-27.

The club and coaching staff don’t want to waste time in anticipation of an even more intense season, likely with a packed schedule. While the coach and team are currently focused on the big match against Juventus next Sunday at San Siro, the directors are working.

The plan starts from a premise: at least four quality reinforcements (perhaps as many as six) are needed across all areas, with a particular focus on the attacking line, where the priority is the striker who has been sorely lacking this season. And likely a backup.

Budget and targets

Igli Tare’s budget is yet to be determined (probably around €50m, plus any potential transfer proceeds). He and the coach have already identified several potential candidates, including players whose contracts are expiring.

Three, if not four, forwards are under observation and are being evaluated. Moise Kean is among the top targets and is someone Allegri knows well, while his €62m clause could be negotiated down a bit to around €50m after a disappointing season.

Also keep an eye on Alexander Sorloth, the 30-year-old Norwegian international at Atlético Madrid: he costs slightly less than the Italian (around €35m), and is good with his feet as well as in the air. The free agents Dusan Vlahovic and Robert Lewandowski are dreams with high salaries.

The new name could be Kolo Muani, who after a spell with Juventus is playing in the Premier League with Tottenham this year. He’ll return to PSG, with several clubs interested.

The defender chapter features one name above all others: Mario Gila, arguably the best centre-back in Serie A. Inter are also interested in the Lazio player, but the Rossoneri moved early and hope to land him for €25m plus bonuses.

The other names to be considered if the management go for another central defender are Real Madrid’s Victor Valdepeñas, Lecce’s Tiago Gabriel and Udinese’s Dane Kristensen, all of whom are a bit younger.

There’s no shortage of names for other positions, starting with Leon Goretzka, for whom a three-year contract worth at least €5m net per season is ready. It would be a Rabiot-style deal to add experience and leadership.

For the left flank, there’s continued talk of Andrea Cambiaso who will leave Juventus. Allegri has already coached him in Turin and sees him as the right fit on the left flank, replacing Pervis Estupinan, who could leave after just one season.

    1. lol oof, I wish you were wrong. Bring on Jaime Vardy (they’ll call him premier league winning striker) and some busted Chelsea prospects. And that will cost us 200 million for some reason.

    1. Kolo Muani won’t be enough as I doubt Milan will keep Gimenez and Nkunku. Leao is also not a striker. So it’s possible he will leave also.

Therefore I think Milan should also go back for Mateta. He had surgery and got over the injury that cause the deal to fail in January.

        1. Kolo Muani what for? He isn’t anything Allegri is asking for and doesn’t score goals really. What is the point?

  1. Sorloth or Randal Koloa Muani is better if Moses kean can’t take 40million euro while Robert Lewandowski would be a disgrace to Milan as we have seen in the case of MANDZUKIK..PLEASE

  2. 1.Kolo Muani is a fraud. He’s a poor man’s Leao.
    2. The budget isn’t €50 million, it will be between €100-120 million, players will be sold.
    3. If management don’t look inside Serie A, they’ve learned nothing. There are many good players that could make the next step up on expiring contracts, Laurente and Orsolini would be great options out wide, for example.

  3. 25 mil for Sörloth
    25 mil for Gila
    Vlahovic on free transfer
    Goretzka on free transfer

Then if we sell 2 of Nkunku/Leao/Pulisic we can splash those coins on Fagioli and Cambiaso.

R-L-C and Estupinian gets sold and Fullkrug returns to West Ham.

Thats a squad I can get behind
