Fabio Capello has criticised Como for the way that they acted during the draw against AC Milan at San Siro on Wednesday night.
There has been another big fall-out after a Milan-Como game, this time because of the way that Cesc Fabregas behaved on the touchline. The Spanish coach pulled back Alexis Saelemaekers as he attempted to chase down a Como player, and yet Allegri was red carded for protesting.

Tensions have been bubbling between the two sides since the previous meeting in January by the lake, when Fabregas made proclamations about the dominance of the Lariani, insinuating that Milan had been lucky to win 3-1. Could it be the spark for a rivalry to come? The signs suggest yes.
Capello’s take
Speaking to Sky (via MilanPress), Capello gave his thoughts on what he perceives to be a big flaw in the way that Como approach things, more specifically regarding how they behave on the field.
“The thing I don’t like about Como is that they protest like crazy. They’re always going to the referee. In the last three games, three, four, five players have been protesting continuously toward the referee. It’s bad, Fabregas needs to work on this,” he said.
“Then in Italy, there’s another thing that’s allowed: the coaches all run along the touchline. There’s a technical area and then they do what they want. Why is this accepted? Conte and Fabregas do it. In my day, it was forbidden.”
Agree w/ Fabio on this – players (and coaches it seems) didn’t carry on like this back in the day. Can you imagine Maldini or Baresi celebrating like that p.o.s Bastoni for conning the ref into sending someone sent off?

Well the barcelona team he sat on the bench in did the exact same thing.
This. Love Spanish coaches. Their teams play great football, but they also practice a lot of what has been called “gamesmanship”, what I’m going to call referee manipulation. And a lot of this comes from the “Barcelona School”. Many top current top Spanish coaches came up through Barca and played there together (like Guardiola and Luis Enrique) and then now there is a second generation that played under the first generation (like Xavi and Fabregas). The philosophies are transmitted.

Spanish football practice something that was perfected by Italian football. No one uses “gamesmanship’ more than Italian players and teams.
Well they’re a Spanish team, what do you expect, if you build a squad full of crybabies.

Said the same in the other article. It’s what they used to (or still) do at Barca. Crowding the ref to demand a card. For all the talent they have at their disposal, it’s tasteless way to try to gain an advantage. It’s classless. Pirlo, Kaka,.Maldini and co never crowd the refs constantly asking for cards. We let our talent and football style shine on the pitch. That’s why our teams historically get respected world over. We keep it classy
They’ve got the richest owner in Serie A and games are gradually going their way referee-wise. Of course the Barcelona clown will prepare his players accordingly.

How a coach can interfere with a throw in and not be shown a red is utterly baffling and shows how disconnected these referees and the league are. Oh wait no it’s not 😂
