In about 30 minutes (11:30), Zlatan Ibrahimovic will arrive in Milan to complete his move to the club. Speaking to the microphones of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Fabio Capello spoke highly of the move.
The manager, who worked with the Swedish international during his time at Juventus, made it very clear that the deal if a positive one for the Rossoneri. After a poor start to the season, the latter certainly need someone to shake things up.
“He’s positive in two respects: for what he can still offer as a player and for the contribution of personality. The stories of MLS being poor are far, it’s not on the same level as the big European leagues.
“However, there are games and fights there too. Ibra will need a few games to settle down, but then he will become decisive. Milan have little personality: Zlatan will shake up the team. Reinforcement is also needed in defence,” he concluded.
Hopefully, the now 38-year-old will be able to conquer Italy with Milan once again, having done so ten years ago. Obviously, the goal remains to qualify for next season’s Champions League, although it won’t be easy.
In any case, the arrival of Ibrahimovic should certainly shake things up. One can only hope that it will be enough to reach their goals, though a big improvement is needed for that to happen.
