AC Milan have started the season brilliantly with 21/24 points collected in the league, sitting at the top of the standings. Fabio Capello has now revealed what has surprised him the most.
Stefano Pioli and his staff can be very happy with how the team has performed despite a very tight and tough schedule. There’s more of that after the break, but for now the players can enjoy their spot at the top of the standings.
Speaking to Corriere della Sera this morning (read the full interview here), as cited by Radio Rossonera, the legendary manager Capello revealed what has surprised him the most about Milan so far.
“Pioli can count on the support of leaders like Maignan and Giroud: they can be useful in helping the new arrivals to integrate. I was surprised especially by the new arrivals, who work hard to stand out, sacrificing themselves,” he stated.
Milan will be hoping to keep this up but as said, a tough schedule awaits after the break including the two games against PSG in the Champions League. In other words, they will have to really be at their best.
