Gerry Cardinale has reportedly arrived at Casa Milan on Friday to follow negotiations concerning AC Milan more closely.
Calciomercato.com report that Cardinale wants to make a personal impact on AC Milan, and he’s moved from words to action. He is at the club’s headquarters as of Friday lunchtime, to meet with the new management including Bobby Gardiner and Hendrik Almstadt.

Ruben Amorim also attended the meeting, though it is not stated whether this was virtually or in person. He is the manager rather than the head coach, meaning he will have a big say in the recruitment.
Not just Ramos
Milan’s aim is to sign a top striker to start the summer and kick off the new era with a bang. Cardinale wants to leverage his excellent relationship with Jorge Mendes to bring Goncalo Ramos to the San Siro, even though he is currently at the World Cup with Portugal.
Yesterday, an initial official offer was made to PSG which – including a fixed base and bonuses – is close to €54m. Milan are confident they can reach the finish line with such a significant offer in the coming days. The player has already expressed his openness too.
Amorim will also discuss other aspects with Cardinale and his management. While waiting to understand what Luka Modric’s choice will be, Amorim has asked for other signings: a midfielder like Morten Hjulmand (his protégé), two central defenders and an attacking wing-back.
Both Yunus Musah and Samuel Chukwueze will be carefully evaluated during the training camp, while Warren Bondo is available. Particular attention will also be paid to the youngsters Francesco Camarda, Andrej Kostic, Alphadjo Cissè and Christian Comotto who all have a chance of staying.
SportMediaset (via MilanNews) also report that Cardinale is present at Casa Milan to meet with the CEO Massimo Calvelli plus Almstadt, Gardiner and Lomonte. One of the key issues will be transfer business to ‘expand the squad size’.

a backup no. 9, perhaps another AMC or a (left) winger as a bonus and a fifth man behind the 9 depending on a formation preferred by Ruben…
I forgot to emphasize that I don’t consider Zaniolo fit for a starting AMC so that means he’ll be a backup & we need two AMCs. Either that or we use Chukwueze from the bench just like we used to in the last season.
