Matteo Moretto has suggested that big changes could be coming for AC Milan after a dire end to the current season.

After a run of just two wins in eight games, there have been a lot of stories doing the rounds which have claimed that another reset is imminent in the summer, even if a lot depends on whether a Champions League place is secured.

It seems that nobody will be spared from the evaluations, either. The CEO Giorgio Furlani, the sporting director Igli Tare, the senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the head coach Massimiliano Allegri will all have their positions up for review, or so La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed yesterday.

‘Many doubts from a corporate perspective’

Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s WhatsApp channel, Matteo Moretto took stock of the delicate corporate situation at Milan, a direct consequence of a complicated moment that is seriously jeopardising the top four mission.

“After the home defeat against Atalanta, there are many doubts at AC Milan, a lot of concern, especially about qualifying for next season’s Champions League, a goal that seemed already achieved, but which in recent months has become a real uncertainty,” he began (via MilanNews).

“There are also many doubts from a corporate perspective, because as we have often told you, Gerry Cardinale will draw a line at the end of the season and try to understand how to improve the club internally.

“Everyone is under scrutiny, but the background we can give you is that in recent days there have been many internal meetings at Casa Milan, especially involving Massimo Calvelli, Ibrahimovic, Furlani.

“Everyone is under scrutiny, and everyone is working together to understand how to improve this Rossoneri path, in which sporting director Igli Tare certainly has, and still has, an uncertain position.

“Allegri is also under scrutiny. We’ll then understand how the Rossoneri season will develop based on the upcoming matches, but Milan are already starting to work for the future.”

  1. Nobody gives a damn about (massimo) calvelli, sack scaroni, furlani, ibrahimovic (and kirovski), moncada, tare and allegri and SELL THE CLUB!

    1. ya that seems to be the simple but not so simple answer. Maldini, Galliani, and Xabi. Or at least Maldini back for sure. The tough part is how he left and how much of an ego does Cardinale have that he won’t let Maldini back? Really hope that happens though.

  2. Cardinale does not have to sell but Furlani, Scaroni, Ibrahimovic, Moncada, Tare, and Allegri must leave. Cardinale must understand that the corporate management team he put together is 100% trash and the results/performances speak for the fact. Things are clearly visible out there, he just needs to look at them and accept them as facts.

    1. Exactly and if he had the balls to sack maldini who is a club legend then sacking those bozos should be easier to do.

  3. well, from financial pov this management has done good job.. but only good, not great/excellent.. while on sporting pov has been terrible for the last 2-3 years..

    1. Well thats the point.

Once Red Bird invested the money in Ac Milan, some kind of return is needed for them.
If players arent so good in generating money from playing football, owner will request money from players trades.
This year even Allegri had maybe best possible team in terms of how much money have been invested. Around 200 million.
I read comment from person who knows Luka Jovic, and that person wrote how Ibrahimovic in one game gone to locker room telling that both Jovic and Conceicao are leaving at the end of the season.
Jovic scored 2 goeals that night, Conceicao wanted Jovic, and before game Ibrahimovic was pushing that coach sellect Gimenez.

I think the answer is plusvalenza. They dont care so much about final result how about that players who are bought reach potential for fine sale….
