Indeed, through their struggles, they remain known as a footballing heavyweight and RedBird will hope to get them back to the top of the pile as soon as possible.

Cardinale among top influences
Their influence is not just felt on the pitch, though, and as Milanisti Channel relays, Gerry Cardinale has featured in Time’s 2026 list of the ‘Top 100 Sporting Influences’.
Owning the Diavolo obviously plays a big part, but the American also has big influences in American sport and even owns a very small part of Liverpool. So, it is understandable why he features in the list.
It is also worth noting that he was named alongside Milan fan and Tennis No.1 ranked star, Jannik Sinner. Certainly not bad company.
Sinner number 1? The guy that did doping and nothing happened? Says everything about the list. Even if he didn’t do it he isn’t the most influential, even Federer is still more influential.
