Three weeks ago, RedBird made the decision to sack several key members of AC Milan. Now, their replacements could be on the way.
It has been 21 days since RedBird dropped a bombshell statement, confirming that Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare had departed following the Cagliari game. Of course, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada were sacked, too.

Since then, there have been a million different suggestions for the new look of Milan. From different managers to different sporting directors and then the different combinations of how they could work together.
Nevertheless, it now seems Gerry Cardinale has found the one to move forward with.
Cardinale makes decision
It was reported that Cardinale wanted a complete reset with a ‘year zero’-type situation and he has taken his time to find the right candidates. Now, Corriere dello Sport reports this morning that he has found them.
As MilanNews relays, Ruben Amorim has been chosen as the new manager, with a contract offered a few days ago. Cardinale’s official yes is still needed, but that should arrive in the next few hours.
Joining him will be Markus Krösche, if all goes to plan. The German is the technical director at Eintracht Frankfurt, so compensation will be needed to free him up.
With him, it seems a ‘Head of Football’ role will be utilised. So, one of Timmo Hardung or Devin Ozek could also arrive as the sporting director. It seems that we are close to clarity, finally…

I don’t find Amorin very inspiring, still dont know his football philosophy from his time at Man U. And quite frankly I dont know if his appointment comes against a specific strategy Cardinale has in mind (for what its worth lets call it a strategy). Hope we are not going to haggle till kingdom comes over compensation for Krosche either.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see how he does. I don’t have a good feeling about him, but I hope he proves us all wrong. A lot will depend on how we do in mercato.

I don’t know what to think about Amorim but despite failing at Man Utd his sporting side was inspiring. I guess we just have to hope it clicks here like it did there.
However I think deep down we need a profile more in line with the german gegenpress in my opinion those are the teams that performs best when you don’t have the budget to create a ala madrid squad.

I am going to call this bullsh!t until it is official because if Krosche joins he is the reason why we didn’t go for Glasner since they had issues at Frankfurt over transfers.
But I don’t see Krosche approving Amorim either who made it clear that he wants ultimate power of the sporting department.
So both men wants to be the decision maker on player transfers and that is already a problem. This is why I think Mattias Jaissle will arrive as Milan new coach.
Because Krosche specifically requested Jaissle.
