Gerry Cardinale wants to accelerate the renewal of Christian Pulisic’s AC Milan contract, according to a report.
After getting injured at the World Cup, Pulisic is now ready for his debut. Calciomercato.com write that against Juventus in Turin this evening, he is likely to come off the bench in the second half, hoping to get his first goal(s) of the season.

Exactly eleven months later, Pulisic will return to the Allianz Stadium with a thirst for revenge: his penalty miss cost him the win and two crucial points. From that moment on, there have been some struggles, including not scoring a goal at club level in 2026.
Pulisic returned to Italy on August 2 and initially trained alone at Milanello, with the team on tour in Asia. He put in the effort, heart, commitment, and motivation to shine again, and now scheduled to make his season debut against Juve.
Pulisic and AC Milan want to win to build on their two victories in the first two rounds of the season. The most important game, at least for the future, is being played off the pitch: his contract renewal.
A meeting is scheduled for the middle of next week between Cardinale and the American’s entourage, including his father and agent. The option until 2028 will be exercised, but the Rossoneri owner will offer a reasonable financial proposal for a contract until 2031.
Hopefully, after a year of back-and-forth, the green light will be given to begin preparing the necessary documents. Milan want to put Pulisic at the entre of the project, now the ball is in his court.
I think he’s going to wait it out almost to the end of the season to see whether or not we are getting UCL next year. I can’t see him missing out on the UCL once more.
I think it’ll be more about playing time. If he doesn’t sign he has to be sold in the summer or ACM loses money.

That’s on Gerry…. he made clear that he wouldn’t let Pulisic go- needs to sell some more shirts I guess. We don’t even really know if there were inquiries despite reports in unreliable football papers.
This is a big season for Pulisic. Leão is gone so he should lockdown that left flank playing in his preferred position. He could be waiting to see what the new DT’s true plan is for him.

Pulisic cannot do better than AC Milan. He would have to go to a lesser team if he wants full minutes, or he will have to be a bench player at a good team. He isnt nearly the player that he was expected to be. Hopefully he realizes that and stays.
