Cardinale sends message to Milan squad after success against Napoli

AC Milan advanced to the semi-finals in the Champions League for the first time in 16 years this evening, beating Napoli 2-1 on aggregate. Naturally, this made the Rossoneri owner Gerry Cardinale very happy.

Milan have already made a lot of money on the Champions League adventure (over €100m) and it will only increase from here. While things haven’t gone as well in the league, the UCL success has made up for it thus far.

As reported by MilanNews, Milan owner Gerry Cardinale sent a message to the squad and the staff after the 1-1 draw in Naples: “Thank you guys”, he wrote. It’s possible that he could be in direct contact with them in the coming hours as well.

Cardinale wasn’t able to attend the game, nor the first leg, but he will soon be in Milano again to deal with the stadium matter. It’s his main priority currently as Milan need the revenue to compete.
