Journalist Carlo Pellegatti has stated his belief that AC Milan’s ownership have no intention of competing with city rivals Inter.
In recent days – as another season without a trophy draws towards its conclusion – the decisions and the ambitions of the Milan ownership and management have come under fire from all angles. Some, like Antonio Vitiello, have even called for RedBird Capital to sell the club.

While six points are needed from the last three Serie A games to secure a top four finish, there is the feeling of things being very uneasy regardless. Not having Champions League football would be a disaster, though how the club would spend the extra €60-90m is also a big question mark anyway.
During his usual slot on Maracanà – a program broadcast on TMW Radio – Pellegatti spoke about Milan and the delicate moment that Massimiliano Allegri’s team are experiencing and the more macro problem at the top.
“It’s not a good time, not so much for the present, which sees us struggling to win. After Sassuolo, it’s hard to think of getting six points, but we need to pull something out. What worries me is the future,” he began.
“Talking about the transfer market makes me sick. I don’t care about anything, I’m interested in the match against Atalanta. People talk about a mental block, but usually everything ends up in that definition. I feel sorry for Tomori, he’s instinctive, but I would have taken him off after the first yellow.
“Confalonieri says a bank doesn’t care about winning a Scudetto and that Leao is a fake champion? Milan had the opportunity to give two players to Allegri on equal points with Inter. A management that wants to win is signing Malen to get to the Champions League and try to win the league.
“When a coach asks you this but the club says no, it means you’re not interested in winning. The club has said they’re not interested in competing with Inter until the end. This isn’t a criticism or an opinion, but a fact.
“They’re trying to make Cardinale understand that the real brand is Milan, which goes beyond other sports projects. If he doesn’t understand this, he’ll lose out. And we know how it ends in ruins. Because if we don’t get to the Champions League, Allegri talked about survival.”

They are not interested in competing with ANYONE, not just Inter lol
Wrong word saying Inter the right word is any other club they are just doing what we call TRY YOUR LUCK but at the end if you don’t spend right you will not get the result you want
