CorSera: Cardinale will not join Ibrahimovic and Maldini for the Formula 1 Grand Prix

By Isak Möller -

The Formula 1 Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia is scheduled for later today and the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paolo Maldini will be present. Gerry Cardinale, however, will not be present despite initially planning to attend.

Ibrahimovic arrived at the event for the qualifiers yesterday, also speaking to the media about Milan, and he will of course be present today as well. As reported by Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Maldini is another Milan figure that will be present.

Cardinale was expected for the event as well but, in the end, he didn’t leave the United States as per the report. The American has been in the Middle East several times just in the last few months, meeting with potential investors for Milan while also dealing with other RedBird commitments.

Today’s event, therefore, was expected to be another business trip for Cardinale but this time with Ibrahimovic as well. It seems those meetings won’t be happening, but something is clearly moving on the investment front regardless of the constant denials.

Milan, meanwhile, are gearing up to take on Empoli tomorrow and following the 4-2 win against Slavia Praha, they will be looking for a more convincing display.
