AC Milan are closing in on hiring Oliver Glasner as their new head coach, the man who is owner Gerry Cardinale’s pick.
Multiple different outlets reported that Glasner met on Tuesday with the RedBird Capital No.1 Cardinale, who is overseeing a complete restructuring of Milan’s management after the collapse to end last season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that the first face-to-face discussions with the Austrian coach had been a positive one. Glasner left Crystal Palace after winning the Conference League but didn’t have a break, instead showing up for the meeting well-prepared with ideas.
Now, journalist Sacha Tavolieri has published the following: “Gerry Cardinale has imposed his choice over Zlatan Ibrahimović’s and has definitively ended the pursuit of Arne Slot.
“Oliver Glasner now the frontrunner to become AC Milan’s new head coach. The deal is expected to be finalised shortly.”
It must be noted that the same journalist claimed on Saturday that Slot was the leading candidate to take over from Massimiliano Allegri, having just been sacked by Liverpool.
However, it has since come out that the Dutchman was being endorsed by Ibrahimovic, who appears to have now taken a back seat in the process.
The thing is…I just don’t care anymore. I can’t seee a project with any of the suggestions flying around. Get the youth going and ride it out. In 2/3 years we could be the envy of seria a.
So Rangnick and Slot won’t come to the hairy Jungle.
I actually like this hire (if it’s real). He’s done well everywhere he’s been, I’d like to see what he can do with players that aren’t being sold out from under him during the season. Also, Slot is just a younger Allegri. Liverpool’s offensive players were handicapped in his system.

I don’t know about you guys but if you have just finished winning titles and then show up to the meeting with a presentation and analysis of the current state of a team you have not much insight yet and what you plans are for them.. then you mostly likely will get the job in my eyes..
Mr Cardinale we the fans we disagree on Glasner why you owner the cause of our problem we have Young coaches with experience if you can’t allow Ibrahimovic to make decisions then bring in sebastine Horneb that coach is of high profile than Glasner this mistake you want to do other big club can’t engage in this mistake so please go and think and your corrections. Before it goes wrong.
What’s wrong with Glasner? Won trophies in England, won EL in Germany. Proven European cups winner, went to an interview well prepared with analysis etc. He is interested in the job. What else do you want? Proven he can work with small budget as Milan will offer, I think he is prepared for the job and should get it in my considered opinion.

Glasner should be our nee coach,from point of view hiring coach with names are always fragile and disappointed. Glasner is really the good choice for now. Slot is just overrated, he is really getting helped by salah and taa alot in the previous season. Glasner can made a team brick by brick. I hope cardinale not being mwdiocres and sell our star or our new star

Until an hour from now when they print another story completely contradicting this one.
Cardinale isn’t choosing Rangnick because he offers a promising project. But because he’s a one stop shop and he fits the young’n’cheap model. Basically just something that won’t cost much while Gerry is busy trying to sell the club.
Problem is Rangnick won’t make CL next season, or even the season after because building something takes time.
Hiring Glasner,currently is our best option once again Do we all remember how many Key Players was Sold by Crystal Palace and he still Managed the Squad. The likes of Eze and CO( key players) still calm and succeed
Cardinale didn’t overrule anyone. Ibra must have his friends in the media who hype his status and importance as though without him, cardinale can’t think. Something a ego drunk individual would do. Ibra is just an errand boy on the side lines, used to prop up a waning reputation and lend some “credibility” to an otherwise impotent board.
Ibra is not a majority shareholder is redbird the warrant his veto over the choice coach. When he is done being useful he will be tossed aside like the mercenary he is. He ain’t loyal.
One thing is for certain – they will choose the worst possible option and their pathetic trolls will be here to hail it as the best thing to have ever happened.
Would take Glasner over Pochettino and Slot. I’d have preferred Sarri or Italiano. But Glasner is not the worst available option, more importantly we need to back him up.
