Gerry Cardinale, today, discussed the arrival of Ruben Amorim at AC Milan and how the club will move forward.
In recent years, Cardinale has not been the most popular figure amongst Milan supporters. However, he has begun to be closer to the club and there has been a noticeable shift in the momentum of the Rossoneri in recent weeks.

Already, €100 million has been spent this summer, and the American is showing that he wants the best for the Diavolo – something which was true before, but may not have been seen as he or the fans had wanted it.
Cardinale’s words
Now, he has his own people in place – something which the restructuring of the vendor loan has allowed – and the new era can truly begin. Indeed, he is now in almost complete control of the club and now will be the time to judge.
This afternoon, alongside Ruben Amorim, he spoke to the media about the new direction of the club, as MilanNews relays.
“Good afternoon, thank you so much for being here. As you know, it’s a very important day for AC Milan, being here with you to introduce the new coach. You’ve seen how much has changed since the end of last season. For the first time since I’ve been the owner, there will be many new things.
“What often happens in many circumstances? First you go to the sporting director, then the boss, then the coach. In one month we had six months of meetings. All this to review the relationship between the coach and the club.
“We want to bring Milan back to its great and glorious past, and that’s important for everyone: we play to win. It’s not that we play to avoid losing. This must be our new style. It must be exciting football, beautiful to watch.
I want to create a new culture. Enough with the past. I’m here now, I’m the front-line manager . But behind me is a whole team. We’ve worked hard to have Ruben as the cornerstone of our team, which has great depth.
“It’s very important to talk about these people. I’ve taken my best people and brought them to AC Milan. We’ll make sure that the actions we take speak for themselves.”
The mercato…
“Ramos is incredible, then Gila will arrive. Transfer market? I want to assemble the team for Ruben as soon as possible.”

Anale
To “bring Milan back”, the ownership needs to “go away”. This was already a winning team against all odds when they acquired it. Instead of building on it, they dismantled the squad from Maldini to the players. Every year, same story. I’ll be shocked if Amorim lasts past January.
Are you gonna spend the rest of your football life whining. Maldini has been out for 3 years now. Get over it.
You talk as if 3 years is a long time. It’s not. But yet, in such a short space of time, he did exactly what op said, dismantled a winning team to whatever we have right now.
Ironic isn’t it. that Maldini asked for exactly what is taking place now. However, instead of investing to make the leap to challenge on the European stage, Gerry is investing to avoid being out of the UCL next year. That’s a rough lesson to learn and we the fans have paid for it
Forza Gerry !
I don’t know but i have a feeling that amorim is going to cook at Ac Milan.
I hope I am right
