AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has pledged to try and build on the excellent results that the club managed in 2022 as we head into 2023.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) write that Cardinale – who is the new owner of AC Milan as of the end of August – wrote a letter of good wishes to the employees of the Rossoneri ahead of Christmas.

“Dear friends, a special year is coming to a close, which marked our entry into the great history of Milan, together with the great emotion of the return to winning the league. A story to which each of you continues to contribute with great involvement and which in turn I feel committed to guarding and nurturing with all the capabilities of RedBird,” he began.

In Cardinale’s message to the staff at Milan, the owner praised the way that the club has been run prior to his arrival, which allowed them to achieve excellent results on the field. He also pledged to take further steps forward in the solidity and sustainability of the club’s management.

“I am convinced that thanks to the guidance of President Paolo Scaroni, the new CEO Giorgio Furlani, Paolo Maldini and all the management, combined with your constant commitment and dedication, the club will be able to continue on its way back to the top of European football,” he said.

The year of 2023 is crucial for Milan as big indication will arrive regarding how serious the project is and the willingness to invest resources to safeguard the squad and also boost the quality available to Stefano Pioli.
