MN: Carnevali encourages Milan to move for Berardi – the Rossoneri’s current stance

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are considering a summer move for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi to reinforce the right side of the attack, but at the moment things are not advanced.

MilanNews are reporting that the 27-year-old from Sassuolo was open to joining the Rossoneri last summer but the price set by the Neroverdi meant that a negotiation could not even begin. Today though their CEO Giovanni Carnevali relaunched the idea: “Berardi would be perfect for Milan: if I were the CEO of a top Italian club, he is the first player I would take.”

The report adds that Milan are admirers of the player but would only make a concrete move under certain conditions. It goes without saying that the Rossoneri are hunting for players who came through academies in Italy for the squad list.

However, the operation could only take place affordable figures, or with the use of particular formulas such as the one that facilitated the transfer of Manuel Locatelli to Juventus. If Sassuolo’s requests remain around €30m, Milan will go to other targets.

  1. Hope we can make a similar offer as Juve did to get Locatelli last year.
Maybe 15m and then 10m-15m on monthly installments. even part of the monthly installments part could be performance based. 5m if 15-20 goal contributions

  2. Milan will rather pay 5 m € every year for shit RW players and then change them next year than bring the right one for 30

  3. idk what is there to think about. 30M€ for a player like Berardi is a sweet deal. He just hit his prime years. They coul help finance this by selling Saelemaekers. Its pretty clear we need to overhaul the right wing anyway
