Antonio Cassano is no stranger to giving a controversial interview, and the latest has arrived today, with him going all guns blazing at AC Milan.
In the past few years, Cassano has been extremely critical of Milan and certain players. However, the main target for his frustrated comments have been Rafael Leao, who has ignored him more this season.
The Portuguese star cannot do anything right in Cassano’s eyes, it seems, and despite him enjoying his best goalscoring season to date, the Italian still cannot find any complimentary things to say about the striker.
More criticism
Even with the Rossoneri now sitting at the top of the league, the former striker has hit out against the club, Massimiliano Allegri and, to no surprise, Leao. Speaking to Viva el Futbol, he offered his view on the season – albeit shortly after leaving the studio when the team were praised – as Calciomercato.com relays.
“I see zero positives [with Allegri]. You can win the Scudetto, you just stick it in your ***. I don’t care if you win matches. Except for the match against Udinese, he’s been playing some ***** matches between the match against Inter and the first 60 minutes against Lazio. It’s shameful.
“If the late Berlusconi were alive, I’d like to go to his house: ‘Dear President, since you’ve always admired beauty, aesthetics, quality, what do we do about it?’ Everyone’s complimenting him, and you yourself are now saying he’s created a team, but he can shoot others down because he’s smart.
“He’s taking credit for things he doesn’t deserve, because if I remember, last year, when we started with Fonseca, the whole team was united. And then? My friend taught me that Father Time arrives.
“Dark times will come, and I want to see what his talent will be there, through his journalist friends. ‘We have staffing problems, we’re short on players, we’re playing without strikers,’ because now the smart thing is to get ahead.”
Swipes at Leao and Allegri…
“Remember what happened with Mourinho, dear Nick: I always said he was done and that sooner or later he would be forgotten, and so it was. His time will come, too, because I can’t imagine a Milan playing crumbling football thanks to their coach.
“Milan is history, quality, beauty, aesthetics. It always has been. The team in Italy that has entertained the most, with the most quality. Allegri? Every time you see him take off his jacket, he acts like a movie star.
“He makes scenes with others, not with me. But Father Time comes for him, too.

“That other shin [Leao] scores goals, now he feels even more important, but he’s still poor because he was unwatchable the other day against Lazio too.
“I’m convinced that in the long run, a certain level of quality will emerge and Milan will have great difficulties: when the **** hits the fan, there are two possibilities: either you work your way out of it, or you drown, and you’ll be in trouble.”

Let this guy do the talking, the more he talks the better we will be.
Almost sounds like a bitter EX!😂
Nobody loves the sound of their own voice more than AC
Cassano should never be allowed to use the sentence “we” when talking about AC Milan in present time as all he does is in some way bashing it and we all know he is an Interista. Probably the’ former Milan player I hate the most and besides of that he is one of the biggest wasted talents around so he should just cram it.
He’d be hungry if he couldn’t talk sh*t on TV, literally. So, I understand him, being a lowlife after being one of the biggest talents in football is hard.
😀 yeah what a waste he is.
He got a gift of football talent and no brain and he choose a career where he can use his no brain best, by talking on TV. 😀 I actually love hearing him, I laugh at him every time. When you see someone is a loser the moment you see him…
Always good to be able to look on the negative in a bright light but if I wanna be entertained by an Italian comedian I prefer Roberto Benigni any time any day, Cassano just infuriates me 😀
“ I remember, last year, when we started with Fonseca, the whole team was united” what the hell is he talking about? I remember from day one the whole AC Milan world from players to fans was divided. WTF is this guy on about.
He wasn’t sane a single day of his life, what do you expect of him?
Yes, he predicts things. He couldn’t go to training twice in a row, one of the biggest mo*ons in history of football. What I’m really curious is his bank account status, I’d predict it is pretty low and the only way to feed himself and his family is to be a TV clown until the end of his life, with statements like this. That is the only choice he has.
Who is Cassano? Oh right, the forgotten player
he is doing this for money nothing more.
Cassano. I remember him well. So much incredible potential, and such a weak mentality. All wasted. I don’t even know why he’s criticizing anyone right now.
And the only Scudetto this guy won was under Allegri….
Cassano is in my opinion partly right. Is the temporary top of the table really worth all the suffering this Mourinhoesqe parking the bus style means to us milanistas? Is parking the bus really the soul of this beautiful club?
And without one of the worlds best goalkeepers we had probably been dwelling somewhere in the middle of the table.
“Is the temporary top of the table really worth all the suffering this Mourinhoesqe parking the bus style means to us milanistas?”
Personally yes
“Is parking the bus really the soul of this beautiful club?”
Milan has 4 legendary coaches: Nereo Rocco, Arrigo Sacchi, Fabio Capello and Carlo Ancelotti. Only Sacchi is known for pretty football with a high line, pressing,…
Rocco used Catenaccio same way Herrera did. With Capello we once won the scudetto while scoring 36 goals in 34 games and Ancelotti is the second coach with most 1-0 wins in serie A (75) right after Allegri.
So actually parking the bus is closer to our soul than whatever gegenpressing or tiki-taka fans are salivating for.
Interesting answer, thank you. Maybe you are right about the soul. I still wish for same more risk taking, some more attacking power.
Dear Cassano,
How about you cry us a river ?
Does anyone ever take anything Cassano says seriously? He’s like one of those gossip tabloids. Glance through purely for entertainment.
This Cassano guy is just a fool, what did you achieve in your own football career? Fool
At this point, I consider Cassano as an actor, paid to play the role of the contrarian.
If he’s not being paid, then he’s probably hoping to become somewhat relevant by consistently doing the negative bit.
Funny enough, never knew this guy back then…
Na was ooo
