Antonio Cassano more often than not has something negative to say about AC Milan. However, given the Rossoneri’s start to the season, not even he could resist praising Stefano Pioli’s side.
Milan have collected 21 out of a possible 24 points in the league and are currently in first place ahead of their city rivals Inter. After the break, a tough schedule awaits that will decide a lot for the Rossoneri.
Speaking to BoboTV, as cited by MilanNews, Cassano shared his thoughts on Milan and this time, he actually had positive things to say. Above all, he praised Stefano Pioli for how he has built the team.
“We must be honest and compliment Milan, but especially Pioli who managed to change almost six starters and got the new players to perform very well. Milan are playing well, the reaction after the defeat in the derby was like a great team, a good coach, who is above all a good person,” he stated.
After the break, Milan will take on Juventus, PSG and Napoli in the space of seven days. All hands on deck will be needed, therefore, and we can expect to see some rotation between these games.
