Milan are always looking for opportunities on the market and one of the positions they want to reinforce this summer is the right-wing. Alexis Saelemaekers has done well but they also need a more prolific winger.
Many will agree that Saelemaekers is an incredibly useful player for Milan. In addition to his versaitlity, he’s a hard worker and he makes life a lot easier for the players around him, always tracking back to offer support.
However, the Rossoneri also need a right-winger that can do more in the attacking phase. Josip Ilicic has been mentioned as a possible signing and compared to Saelamekers two goals and three assists, he has six goals and eight assists.
Speaking on Bobo Vieri’s Twitch channel (BoboTV) last night, as cited by MilanNews, Antonio Cassano was asked about Ilicic’s potential move to Milan. He agreed that it would indeed be crazy, but nevertheless a very good deal.
“Ilicic at Milan would be crazy, it’s the perfect signing. Imagine him instead of Saelemaekers, together with Rebic, Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic. Milan would then need one more in the midfield in place of Bennacer alongside Kessie. And then a strong centre-back, in addition to Tomori,” he stated.
