Castillejo: “I visited San Siro as a kid, I can’t wait to play for the club”

Castillejo spoke to the press during his presentation for AC Milan. Here’s what he had to say. 

On Suso: “He is a fantastic player, a role model for everyone and a great person. I want to do my best for the club.”

On why he chose Milan: “I’m very young, but when I was growing up and I watched the likes of Paolo Maldini. Therefore, it’s great to be a part of the club where many of my idols have played.”

On his position: “I played the majority of last season on the right, but the main thing is to give my all for the club. I promise to be completely committed to the cause and do my best. 

On Bonera (former Milan man): “We were teammates at Villarreal and he spoke very well about the club, I got some good advice.”

On choosing number seven: “It’s a number I’ve always liked and it was available, so why not take it! I will give my all for AC Milan. I have a very good feeling already.”

On playing at San Siro: “I came to Milan as a kid and visited the stadium. I was very young and the experience was unforgettable. The atmosphere is fantastic and the fans are brilliant, I can’t wait to play there.”
