AC Milan have a priority for the January transfer window but they may also strengthen the squad in more than one area, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com reports that the Milan management are mainly focusing their efforts on looking for a central defender who will replace the injured Simon Kjaer who is out for the rest of the season after sustaining ligament damage in his knee.
However, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Masssara are not only evaluating a purchase in the defensive department but also in the attack too, where Samu Castillejo set to depart the club next month amid speculation linking him with Genoa or a return to Spain.
If he were to leave, then the directors would try to strengthen the options for the attacking trident behind the centre-forward given the gap that would be left by Castillejo’s departure, though no names are mentioned in the report.
