Ceccarini: Milan ‘inevitably’ looking for a replacement as Kessie is yet to respond

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s contract with AC Milan will expire next summer and the parties are yet to reach an agreement on a renewal. As a result, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have started to look around for a replacement.

According to Nicolo Ceccarini, in his latest piece for TuttoMercatoWeb, Milan are still waiting for a response from Kessie on their latest contract offer. For now, the matter has hit a standstill and the Rossoneri are inevitably looking around for a replacement.

There are no negotiations in place, that should be made very clear, but Maldini and Massara are scoping the market to see what the opportunities could be. One key factor in that will be the transfer budget, so UCL qualification (for example) is important.

In the meantime, Milan have started this season very well with 16 points after 6 games. They have won every game except one and that was away at Juventus, which is an acceptable result even though the Bianconeri haven’t started well.

  1. Nobody cares whether Kessie stays or not. Just like how Milan found a better replacement for Donnarumma and Calhanoglu, they will find a much better replacement for Kessie aswell. Brahim is proving again and again why he is so much better than Calhanoglu. The only issue I have with this management is that they are not able to cash in on these players.

    1. Tôi cũng không hiểu sao ban quản lý không có quyết định nhanh chóng cho Anh ta. Thực ra anh ta cũng không quá xuất sắc.

  2. Who cares
