CF: AC Milan and Inter hold meeting with Council over key issue related to new San Siro

AC Milan and Inter have once again met with the City Council to discuss the new stadium project focusing on a key area, a report claims.

The two clubs want to construct new state-of-the-art home as was revealed late last year, with Italian firm Manica and American giants Populous the two competing firms trying to land the project.

We reported back in February via our correspondent Vito Angele that talks were progressing in the right direction regarding the development, with a green light expected.

As per the latest from Calcio e Finanza, the two clubs spoke to the Milano Council via teleconference on Thursday to update on the progress of the project.

Given the current COVID-19 emergency it is even more importnat that all the details of the ‘new San Siro’ are right as it will play a key role in the economic recovery of the city.

As requested by the Municipality, further details were presented on the re-functionalisation of the current Meazza structure, in the context of the wider project. A new meeting with the municipal administration is expected in the coming weeks.
