Chaka Traore describes the ‘incredible emotion’ of his first Milan goal

By Oliver Fisher -

It was a memorable night for Chaka Traore as he got a start for AC Milan against Cagliari and took advantage of the opportunity by scoring a goal in the second half

Traore was one of several Primavera players to get the start in a heavily rotated side at San Siro tonight, with the likes of Jan-Carlo Simic and Alex Jimenez also starting while Kevin Zeroli and Davide Bartesaghi came off the bench.

In the 50th minute the score became 3-0 and it was thanks to Traore. Jimenez had a hand as he pulled a ball back from the by-line which Chukwueze whiffed at before Traore took possession, stayed on his feet despite being pulled down and fired under Radunovic, who should have done better in truth.

After the game, the Ivorian winger spoke to SportMediaset about what it meant to get his first competitive start for the Rossoneri and to score in front of the San Siro crowd, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

How did it feel to get that goal?

“I’ve wanted to score this goal for a long time. I’m happy with the victory and the performance. The coach gave us confidence. It’s an incredible emotion, I don’t know what to say.”

Do your more experienced team-mates help?

“There are many champions like Leao, Maignan and Giroud, we have to listen to their advice.”

What are your emotions like right now?

“I wanted to give my best and help the team. Then the goal came… I still don’t believe it.”

  1. We don’t need any other players like no too much signing only krunic replacement and Gurassy why we used others of our players we have our players are perfect

    1. Because this is Cagliari in a CUP match

it’s not Real Madrid, Liverpool, Newcastle, PSG in the champions league

They did a great job today but it’s a lot different playing against world class teams.

      1. We beat PSG and Newcastle. Just was barely not enough to advance though. Why write off this team even after a win? This was still a Serie A team.
