Chelsea remain the club who are expressing the most interest in signing Rafael Leao ahead of the summer, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports how Milan are still pushing to try and get Leao to agree a renewal with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara offering €6.5m net per season until 2027 to try and convince him.
This is four times what the Portuguese forward receives at the moment and would be a commitment worth close to €50m when factoring in the gross payments. However, Leao himself suggested before the Atalanta game that he wants to wait until the end of the season before making a decision.
In the event he does not renew – which is now an increasingly probable hypothesis – the club will be forced to sell to the highest bidder. Chelsea remain in the front row just as they were last summer, and the Blues have never ceased contacts with the entourage of the former Lille star.
