AC Milan remain on the hunt for a new striker, and the name of Nicolas Jackson has once again re-appeared as an option.

As Calciomercato.com report, Milan will make their league debut against Cremonese on Saturday, and for that occasion they would like to present to the fans their new striker who will compete for a place with Santiago Gimenez.

Igli Tare is probing various different options at the moment, as he admitted to Mediaset before the game against Bari last night. Rasmus Højlund remains the most financially advantageous deal for the Rossoneri, but certainly not the only one.

Late yesterday afternoon, before the game, Tare had contact with the agency handling Nicolas Jackson, the Senegalese striker who is set to leave Chelsea because he’s not part of the club’s plans.

He is seen as a suitable mould but, as things stand, the conditions aren’t right to complete the deal. His agents are still hoping Chelsea will open up a loan deal in the coming days, even if Newcastle remain the frontrunner for the ex-Villarreal man.

Fabrizio Romano’s take

During the usual video update on his YouTube channel, the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano took stock of the future of Jackson, confirming he is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans at Chelsea.

“We need to keep an eye on Nicolas Jackson. He’s expected to leave Chelsea, and there’s an agreement between the club and the player. Italy is a possibility for Jackson. He’s been on Milan’s list since July and could be an option if the terms of the deal are acceptable to Milan.”

  1. Tare better to go all out for Jackson. He can play as winger and hold the ball striker like giroud, depends on allegri tactics. As usual, loan + option to buy 😆🙏🍻⚽⚽

    1. Why when he can get Lokman or Mois Kean and Dusan.

For me Jackson would be Emerson Royle all over again.

Gets us players to life the squad level or save it for the next transfer window

    1. Hojlund is just as bad, Dusan and if Okafor leaves we should get Mois Keen or Lokman

Proven players will lift the squad levels, Hojlund amd Jackson do not do that, they are getting kicked out of their clubs for a REASON!!!
