Tiemoue Bakayoko is one of AC Milan’s main targets to reinforce the team at Stefano Pioli’s disposal. Negotiations have been proceeding for a long time and it is uncertain when the decisive breakthrough could arrive. However, Chelsea have launched a clear signal about the Frenchman’s future at the Stamford Bridge.
As Sky Sport reported two days ago, negotiations for the midfielder’s return to the San Siro are proceeding slowly and Milan are looking to lower the demands of both Chelsea and the player in terms of the salary earned in the seasons after the initial loan deal.
However, Maldini is in no hurry, but the English club could be. In fact, today Chelsea officially announced the jersey numbers for the 2020/21 season and Bakayoko is not included in the list.
This indicates that the player will not be a part of Lampard’s team and a clear sign that the player will leave the club, sooner or later.
