MN: Chelsea expected to keep back three for Milan clash with Aubameyang upfront

By Euan Burns -

Chelsea are expected to stick with a back three for the match against AC Milan on Tuesday night and let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang start upfront, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, Chelsea boss Graham Potter is likely to field a back three once again when his team travel to Italy to take on Milan in their Champions League group game.

Both teams are on four points in the group and the winner of Tuesday’s match will feel they have a great chance to secure the top spot and a more favourable draw in the next round.

Having won the match at Stamford Bridge by a 3-0 scoreline, Chelsea will be full of confidence that they can get a result at San Siro.

It is expected that Trevoh Chalobah will start the game in defence, a player who was linked with Milan in the summer. He will have Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly for company.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started against Milan last time but was left out against Wolves at the weekend. He should come back into the lineup.

Chelsea predicted XI vs Milan (3-4-2-1): Kepa; Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly; James, Jorginho, Kovacic, Chilwell; Mount, Sterling; Aubameyang.
