CorSport: Chelsea winger’s World Cup exploits spell bad news for Milan’s €15m hopes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s optimism is fading regarding the possibility of agreeing a deal with Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech, according to a report.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Milan continue to monitor Ziyech’s future with Chelsea as the Moroccan winger is having a positive experience at the World Cup in Qatar, but his fate is expected to be away from the Blues where he has not played much in 2022.

Milan are among the first clubs to have expressed interest in signing the former Ajax star, but his performances at the World Cup are not good news for the Rossoneri.

That is because the 29-year-old now seems to have aroused the interest of other clubs willing to spend higher sums than what Milan can afford in the January window, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara hoping to seal a loan with €15m option to buy deal which is now unlikely to be accepted.

  1. Not at Maldini’s transfer policy : Too old to have any room of improvements, salary is too high, not a champion-type that can add some mentality like Ibrahimovic, Kjaer or Giroud.

I’m sure he will never go to ACM. If ACM’s policy approve Ziyech, i think Dybala & Bellotti will be at ACM already.
