AC Milan are attempting to bring Federico Chiesa back to Italy after a disappointing year away with Liverpool.

It is an experiment which has very clearly failed, so now the focus moves to the future, and for months, there have been questions about a return home. Inter and Napoli were seemingly leading proceedings at one point, but the big news recently has regarded Milan.
There has been a lot of talk involving the Rossoneri as of late, and DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando stated earlier today that ‘new contacts’ between the two clubs had taken place, especially with Chiesa ‘open’ to the move.
However, it seems like the offer will have to change. At present, according to the report, the Diavolo are seeking a loan agreement, whilst the Reds would prefer a permanent solution to the Chiesa saga. What is clear, though, is that an interest is there, and discussions will continue, with hopes of a solution being found.
I have a feeling we’ll get Chiesa and Modric and then a few gambles and that will be it. They’ll say Chiesa and Madrid are champions, therefore, Milan brought in champions to the squad this off season. Doesn’t look like we’re getting Ricci and there haven’t been any other names mentioned (that I’ve seen). Maybe Allegri is being extremely tight lipped but the fact that no other names are being strongly linked is worrying to me. Madrid isn’t even going to join the team until August. We’re approaching the 2nd week of June and the lack of names mentioned is worrying. Now the market does seem to be acting strangely this year due to so many summer competitions, including the club word cup. So, there is hope that this is just part of the unusual flow to this transfer window and maybe everything will happen all at once. It is a bit strange that the Tiji deal is taking so long but we could possibly be out Tiji, Theo, AND Mike without any strong replacements in sight. Any midfielder we get will struggle to fill the 15 goals and all the assists and goal contributions Tiji provided. With all that production, we still finished 8th so we lose that and now have to basically do a 180 with the midfield and defense in terms of performance. I say their actual target for next year is 5th. They’ll try for 4th but they won’t be mad if they land 6th or 5th and then the following year they’ll push for top 3. They won’t say that out lout but their actions are loud enough.

5-7 million maximum transfer fee and salary max 3 m/ season . 3 years deal. Take it or leave it .
Agree, still think is better than most milan players with the ball. If he plays more than half the season and do well it would be a bonus.
agree on the gambles. Ideally Modric can turn into a Zlatan when he came back, and Chiesa into what Puli became. OR they could be the next Kaka return and the next RLC. who knows. My betting mind says one will be fine and the other one will not. Take your pick.
We are not adding to our squd this way.
We are selling our best players and bringing in new ones. It’s business but not building a solid team.
If we sell Mike, Theo and Reijnders, why would someone like Pulisic want to stay?
Good players want more.
There is demand for our players but to build a competition team we need to keep them and bring in quality.
Chiesa hasn’t played much and is injury prone.
Without Champions League money, no big italian team can keep its big players for long.
That’s the reality of the league status and how low in revenue generation Italy is.
In Italy, without Champions League qualification, the revenue shrinks tremendously. When a team doesn’t qualify for the Champions League, sacrifices would be made by selling at least one big player, like we will do this season.
Just to have an idea, distribution of revenue generated from TV rights in 2024 alone, the 3 relegated teams in the EPL earned considerably higher revenue than the 3 biggest teams in Serie A:

Burnley – €142.9m
Sheffield – €142.4m
Sunderland just signed Enzo Lee Fee from As Roma for €25m, that looks like our individual transfer cap region, that is to show you the gap in revenue.
Sunderland is a Championship side who just got promoted.
So, all the players we should keep are being sold and the players we should be selling we are keeping, plus adding a few new players we should have added 5 yrs ago? Perfect!

If we see things how must to see….alegri play with DM….that role is for modric…now is fun ….why? Simple modric is lack speed but can pass ball on every part of pitch….like pirlo….we will go forward with much easy….if sign mastantuano to play more like AM…that will be so interesting….so modric and mastantuano and milan is better than last year. On left wing we can go for trosard instead leao…right wing chiesa instead of chukwueze. On lb if mister want cambi than board should give money…CF i wouldnt go for vlahovic….better pavlidis or mikautadze….good players
But Pirlo left because Allegri didn’t play him in that his preferred role.
He preferred to play Pirlo higher up the pitch, I think that is how he will play Modric too.
He will play with two physically strong DM just like with Ambrosini and Van Bommel.
