Inter coach Cristian Chivu reportedly had an outburst during a training session on Friday, in which he spoke out against some supporters.
After losing Simone Inzaghi to Al-Hilal at the end of last season – the club Theo Hernandez went to – Inter decided to bring back a club legend to replace him with Chivu arriving from Parma. It has been a mixed start, with two wins and two losses in the league thus far.

According to Calciomercato.com, there seems to be some tension between the coach and a few fans already. After hearing some comments from fans attending a training session, he was forced to speak up.
As per the report, a group of sponsors and some Inter Club representatives were there for a training session yesterday. One of them commented from the stands after a goal by Lautaro Martinez, shouting: “Now do it on Sunday too!”
Chivu’s reaction was immediate, defending his captain and scolding the fan: “Please respect those who work hard. I don’t want to hear anything else on Sunday. Otherwise, go to Milanello! We’re working to improve, damn it.”
So, while Inter have responded with a couple of wins after their 4-3 defeat to Juventus and 2-1 home loss to Udinese, it feels like there are already some tensions brewing.

Chivu should shut up and respect the fan’s right to express his views. The fan is the paying customer who indirectly pays for Chivu’s salary. It is WAY more inappropriate for a head coach to berate a fan (and very unprofessional to booth), than the fan’s behavior who is freely expressing himself, as fans have a right to do when the team is not performing to expectations.
I never understood why the holding vice-champions of Europe thought that they should promote as head coach a guy with barely any experience coaching professional first teams in top leagues. I mean, he is replacing a world class coach like Inzaghi. I think this was the wrong coaching decision for Inter, and the fact that Inter look less than thrilling right now, is probably in part due to Chivu’s limited coaching skills as compared to Inzaghi’s.
So, shut up, Chivu, and try to humbly get better instead of yelling at your club’s own fans.
And no, don’t speak of Milanello like it’s a bad place to be. We have a MUCH better coach there, a certain Max Allegri who is WAY more professional than you are, and who has won the most Serie A titles in history. What have you won so far, Chivu? Absolutely nothing, so don’t go around speaking of AC Milan.
